This is why one can easily live off product photography, provided, however, that the photographer can work quickly and is good at what he/she does. The photo will be successful only if the audience feels the urge to own the item we have photographed, when looking at it. It must have an attractive colour, contrast and the right brightness. You need to skilfully present the shape and texture of the item. Precision and knowledge are therefore essential, as customers are more and more demanding, which is most often triggered by competition. So, how should I choose the best background for my photos? And what about the light? How to deal with the reflections of shiny surfaces? How to photograph glass or metal? How to take the photo when the product is rounded or angular-shaped? Manual camera mode operation is a must. All you need is the camera you have, it doesn’t need to be a professional camera, but remember that a camera with manual modes offers greater opportunities. However, the rules of photography and the best ways to work with light are the same for all camera types.
